The Farmers protest had led to thousands unsubscribing and porting from Jio network, but now the Farmers and their supporters have taken their actions against Reliance Jio up a notch.
Cutting Jio Out
Agitating farmers and supporting groups in Punjab have cut off power supply of around 1,300 mobile towers of Jio in the state. There are around 9,000 towers of Jio in Punjab. The actions have led to the disruption of mobile and internet services of Reliance Jio, causing inconvenience to the consumers.
The Punjab Chief Minister has urged the farmers to not take law into their hands and cause inconvenience to the general public.
The story so far
The farmers are still at large protesting against the new farm laws and want the government to repeal them. As a show of protest and dissent, the farmers had given a call of action to boycott products of Reliance Industries’ and Adani Group.
Bottom line: The farmer's might've crossed the non-violent line by causing ruckus to the Jio towers but nonetheless it's high time the government sat down with the farmers and listen to them.
