Documents in a folder with Trump Organization insignia

India will see a massive USD 66 billion investment in the building of gas infrastructure as govt pushes for the use of the cleaner fuel. This will also contribute massively to cut down carbon emissions, said Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The move is expected to raise the gas consumption manifold from current 160-170 million standard cubic meters per day.

The huge investment will include pipelines, city gas distribution, and LNG regasification terminals.

An addition of 14,700-km gas pipelines will happen to the existing network of 16,800-km to form a national gas grid, with India targeting 175 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2022 and 450 GW by 2030.
